A Simple Video Production Workflow.
Pre-production | Production | Post-Production
After booking our video production service, it’s time to start your Pre-production. If the video is small, the pre-production meeting can be a phone call or video conference to discuss filming dates and some additional details. If your video is more complex a pre-production meeting can be a visit to the location to scout areas for the shoot, discuss scripting, meet your team, and set the video goals. Pre-production is the map that will guide us to where we want to arrive. The better you prepare in Pre-production the smoother Production and PostProduction will be.
On the shoot day, unless we are filming at a video production studio the video crew will go to the shoot location with the video equipment. Once on location, the video crew will set up the camera (s), film lights, microphones, grip, props, etc. The director and crew will film your video according to the script or storyboard that was created and agreed upon during pre-production. The video shoot might require Product Demonstrations, Interviews, B-roll, Aerial Footage, etc. Very often a combination of all of them.
Once filming is complete, the video production crew will return to our video editing studio to offload the footage from the cameras, back it up in our archival servers, and revise it. The video production schedule will dictate when you can expect to see the first rough-cut of the video. The roadmap for the edit is the script and storyboard approved during pre-production. Once you approve the final video, we will render and deliver the video master files. In order to do that, we’ll need to know the best format for your video distribution, if it is for the internet most often the requirement is for 1920x1080 or 1280×720. If your video was shot in 4k, more likely you can get it in that format.

How Can I use Video Content to Attract More Clients?
Use the right videos on your business homepage, email, social media ads, trade shows, and Google My Business for scalable business growth.
Choose the right Video Company for your next Video.
1 - Demo Reels are not enough.
Most Local Video Companies have a Demo Reel on their websites. Demo Reels are a series of video clips from clients' projects spliced together and set up to a soundtrack. A Demo Reel shows that they're a Video Production Company with a wide variety of clients and have the ability to produce different types of video content.
Great cinematography, clear sound, and a suitable soundtrack do matter when hiring a video company, but ultimately the video has to create the desired effect on the audience. If the video doesn’t have a clear purpose, then it is pointless to produce the video.
2 - Watch their real video production work.
Scroll down their website and watch actual video projects they have shot for clients. After watching a few ask yourself if this is the company you should hire for your video project.
3- Clients Reviews.
Established video companies are likely to have reviews on Google, and Local Business Listings. Do a simple Google search under phrases like Video Production Company near me, Video Production Service near me, Video Company in Miami, Florida.
Now you should check if any of these video companies have reviews for the type of video in question. If a company shoots Wedding Videos, they will not be a good match for Business Videos.
Did they meet their client's deadlines and expectations? How many years of experience do they have in the video industry?
Video Production is more than knowing how to use the video equipment, lights, record audio, and compose pretty pictures. Video Production is about telling meaningful stories and captivating the audience.
4 - Are all Video Vendors the same?
A Videographer with a DSLR is a good choice when you need a run and gun coverage for an Event, Wedding, or simple unscripted videography that doesn’t require any production work.
Full-Service Video Production Companies are able to conceptualize, script, produce, and distribute video content. Everything under one roof so that clients can enjoy a more efficient production experience and predictable results with higher ROI.
Always choose the right vendor for the right video!
Bluemoon Filmworks has the experience, video equipment, and support to produce from the most simple, to the most ambitious visual media projects for companies in all industries.
